Milwaukee County Stadium 1959

This original litho-poster (circa 1959) depicts Milwaukee County Stadium at the height of its popularity. Milwaukee Braves Era

Construction of the stadium was first planned in 1920, but it was not until 1947 that the County Board hired Osborn Engineering of Cleveland, Ohio to develop and design the original Stadium.

In 1949 the Story Quarry site was selected for the Stadium.

    Milwaukee County Stadium was demolished in the winter and spring of 2001. The Milwaukee Brewers started playing in the new stadium "Miller Park" in the spring of 2001.
